What’s New in 2025

In 2025, the Jeep Wagoneer is expected to start around $65,000, and it gets a few thoughtful updates to enhance its already impressive features. Power-folding mirrors, previously exclusive to the Grand Wagoneer, are now available on more trims. The base trims also get a stylish upgrade, with 20-inch wheels replacing the previous 18-inch ones. Lane-keeping assist and adaptive cruise control are standard on all trims.

Engines and Performance

The Wagoneer is powered by a powerful twin-turbocharged 3-liter inline-six engine, delivering an impressive 420 horsepower, paired with a smooth eight-speed automatic transmission. Rear-wheel drive is standard, but if you want to take on more rugged terrain, four-wheel drive has three different systems to suit various driving needs.

For off-road enthusiasts, the Wagoneer offers an adjustable air suspension that can raise the vehicle by 3.6 inches for extra ground clearance and a drive-mode selector featuring sand/mud, snow, and rock modes. It can also tow up to 10,000 pounds, making it an excellent choice for hauling. When it comes to on-road performance, the extended-wheelbase L trim is impressively smooth, thanks to its well-tuned suspension that provides a comfortable ride on the highway.

Fuel Economy

The EPA rates the rear-wheel-drive Wagoneer as the most fuel-efficient, with an estimated 17 mpg in the city and 24 mpg on the highway. If you opt for all-wheel drive, those numbers drop slightly to 16 mpg city and 23 mpg highway. These estimates apply to both the standard-length and extended-wheelbase L trims.

Interior Space

The Wagoneer offers a spacious and comfortable three-row cabin with room for up to eight passengers, though choosing second-row captain’s chairs brings the total down to seven. The interior is stylish and well-equipped, featuring luxury touches like leather upholstery, 12-way power-adjustable front seats, ambient lighting, and three-zone automatic climate control.

While the Grand Wagoneer offers even more high-end features, the regular Wagoneer already provides a premium experience that most will find plenty luxurious. When it comes to cargo space, the Wagoneer doesn’t disappoint. With the third row down, seven carry-on suitcases will fit in the short-wheelbase trim and 14 in the long-wheelbase L. With all seats folded, the short-wheelbase Wagoneer held 40 suitcases, and the L trim packed in an impressive 56.
