What’s Happening with the Dodge Challenger and Charger?

All good things must come to an end. But why? Well, there’s no clear answer as of yet. What we do know is that the 2023 model year of the Dodge Challenger and Charger will be the last. We challenge you to visit us at McLarty Daniel Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram off Moberly Lane in Bentonville to take your spin in one before it’s too late. Commemorate the End of an Era with this Fun LEGO Challenger Set Stellantis, which makes both the Challenger and Charger, announced last August that the current model line-up would end. Instead of unveiling a replacement, they kicked off a celebration of the sport sedan and sports car with 13 special editions, six of them paying homage to Dodge vehicles from the past. They also reintroduced past exterior colors and a special edition custom wrap with all 14 paint colors. Almost a year later, we’re all still left wondering what’s coming next. McLarty Daniel CDJR’s Own Rainbow Challenger Since Dodge has made no official statement about what’s replacing the Challenger and Charger, much speculation has been thrown about. Who doesn’t love some good gossip, right? Car enthusiasts, experts and lovers alike are all anticipating what new Dodge models will be welcomed into the family. Read More About the 2023 Dodge Challenger The Challenger and Charger’s replacement will have big shoes to fill and an even bigger engine to replace. Either way, the auto market will have a void to fill until they replace these popular muscle cars. One rumor is that Dodge plans to replace both models with all-electric vehicles. Most would say you’re crazy if you think an EV muscle car is a good idea. Dodge has accepted the challenge. Get to Know All the Details of the 2023 Dodge Charger The two-door Dodge Daytona SRT Concept, which is shaped similarly to the Challenger while harkening back to the vintage muscle car era, has been in the works for quite some time. We all know power comes from within, but you can’t have a muscle car without the power. So how is this all going to work? Dodge has a plan. Debuting as the first eMuscle car, the Daytona SRT Concept features a new 800-volt, all-wheel drive that allows for faster charging and better cooling. It will surpass the Hellcat V8, which means it will be faster than the 797-horsepower Charger SRT Hellcat Redeye, which hits 60 mph in 3.5 seconds. If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, then it must be a duck. Drivers aren’t so sure if that logic will work with a muscle car. Dodge lovers are very protective of their gas-powered, fast-and-furious, loud-engine speedsters. Where’s Vin Diesel when you need him? Instead of Vin Diesel, you’ll be calling up Vin Electric. But Dodge has thought of that. To make sure drivers aren’t missing out on what they love about muscle cars, they’ve added those elements into eMuscle. For instance, you’ll still be able to shift gears and hear that loud exhaust. If EVs are the future, they can’t all be the same, and Dodge knows that. The American muscle brand is looking to stand out among the quieter EVs on the market…which is practically all of them According to experts, Dodge plans to release the eMuscle car as early as 2024 but no official word has been given. Will the Daytona SRT drop “Concept” from its name to be the first official eMuscle car, or will we be surprised with a completely different model? For now, we’ll have to wait and see what Dodge cooks up in its EV oven. What we do know is that the future of car manufacturing will depend greatly on finding new and successful ways to make drivers excited about electric vehicles. Not only excited but willing to give up their gas-powered vehicles to purchase EVs. Part of the concern is finding charging stations and making sure the infrastructure is capable of handling mass amounts of electric vehicles. If they build it, they will drive it. That statement remains to be seen. Before the Challenger and Charger drive off into the sunset, you’ll need to pay your final respects. Best Cars at McLarty Daniel Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram for Graduates

The month of May marks the beginning of summer, which kicks off with Memorial Day weekend. You may be hauling your boat behind your Ram 1500 to Beaver Lake or loading up your Jeep Grand Cherokee for some mountain biking at Coler Mountain Bike Preserve. But before we can usher in summer, we have to stop and celebrate another rite of passage. In the weeks leading up to Memorial Day, high school and college students will don their caps and gowns and make that final walk across the stage to complete their academic careers. We at McLarty Daniel Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Bentonville, Arkansas, celebrate you, the grads, and are here to help you find the perfect ride for your next adventure. Graduation is a time to celebrate. We can’t think of a better way to honor your academic accomplishments than buying a new Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep or Ram to get you to and through your next phase of life. No matter your price range, we’ve got something for everyone at McLarty Daniel CDJR. While we offer a full used inventory, we’ve selected some new vehicles we think would be great for recent graduates. On a Budget? Read Our Tips for When to Buy a Used Car. Our first pick is the 2023 Jeep Compass, a compact SUV that still seats five. Besides being able to pile four of your closest friends in for a spin around campus, you’ll keep them safe while doing so. With Foward Collision Warning with Active Braking, your Compass will alert you if another vehicle is too close and will brake for you if needed. It also comes standard with Blind-Spot Monitoring and Active Lane Management. If you want to be treated like an adult, you’ll have to start safely driving like one too. Besides safety, the Jeep Compass is a fun car to drive with solid off-roading capabilities. Currently, on our lot, we have the Latitude Lux trim level with 4WD, leather-trimmed bucket seats and classic paint colors. It comes with remote keyless entry and Apple CarPlay. Keep an eye out for new inventory as it changes daily. If you’re looking for a sedan, the 2023 Chrysler 300 is your best bet. Although it may seem conservative compared to other options, this sedan is a classy choice. With reliable performance, top-of-the-line technology and an EPA-estimated 30 mpg on the highway, it checks all the boxes you didn’t even know needed to be checked. Trust your parents on this one. We’ve got all trim levels available on the lot now, from Touring, Touring L and the 300S V6. One benefit of buying a new car is that it comes road-ready, including new tires to get you at least 5,000 miles to that first oil change. Make sure to visit our service and parts department to keep your 300 up-to-date on any routine maintenance. Another option for graduates is the 2023 Dodge Challenger. Although the Dodge Charger was made popular by Vin Diesel’s character in the Fast and the Furious movie franchise, we suggest the 4-door Challenger for graduates as it allows for a little more room. After your graduation, stop by McLarty Daniel CDJR to pick up your new Challenger and then race to Rogers Malco Towne Center to watch the newest installment, Fast X. That sounds way better than a graduation party. Movie Lover? Read More About How Rainbow Road Isn’t Just for Mario. With a wide range of Challengers in stock, you can choose from almost any color of the rainbow from White Knuckle, Frostbite (dark blue), Go Mango (bright orange), B5 Blue (bright blue), Pitch Black or Sublime (lime green). We know how important it is to accessorize so you can have some fun and match your shoes, phone case or even your hair to the color of the Challenger you choose. Our last pick (up) for graduates is the 2023 Ram 1500. If you’re a recent high school grad, maybe you need to pack up and move across the country for college? If you just finished college, maybe you’ve scored your first salary job and can finally swing that house payment. Either way, you’ll need something to load up all your stuff in. The Ram 1500 is the truck you need to get any post-high school or college job done in life or business. It has the capability to tow up to 12,750 pounds and can haul a max payload of 2,300 pounds. Just think of all the things you can load up or haul: furniture, a grill, that new boat you’ve been eyeing, a trailer. With a Ram, the possibilities are endless. This truck is perfect if you must work hard on a job site or want to play hard on that much-deserved weekend break. Whether you’ve spent the last four years cheering on the Bentonville Tigers, Rogers Mounties, Springdale or Fayetteville Bulldogs or finally moving off campus, we’re here to congratulate you on a job well done. It’s time to treat yourself. If you’re looking for yourself or to purchase for a recent grad, come see us at McLarty Daniel Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram off Moberly Lane in Bentonville. We’ll get you set up with a new or used car, truck or SUV. Congrats to the class of 2023! Now throw those caps up in the air — you’ve earned it!
