The wait for the revamped Chrysler 200 is winding down and here at Landers-McLarty, we just can’t wait to see what the American manufacturer has come up with this time. We’ve been big fans of the new 200 since its last refresh, but based upon all the buzz we’ve been hearing lately, this update is going to make quite a splash. Since the luxury sedan has yet to debut, you might be wondering where all that chatter is coming from. Well, Chrysler took a really unique approach to this particular release. Prior to coming out with the new model nationally, they selected a small group of dealerships and gave them a sneak peak at the 200. Apparently, things have well so far. In fact, the dealers seem to be thrilled with the results. After seeing the new model, Chrysler dealer David Kelleher told The Detroit News, “The new 200 is a complete home run. It’s got that strength of a very, very expensive European sedan… but it’s definitively American.” 1. So when can we expect to see this new Chrysler for ourselves? Well, we can’t be sure, but the smart money is on January. That’s when the annual Detroit Auto Show takes place and it would make perfect sense for Chrysler to unveil the all-new 200 in front of a hometown crowd. Until then, we’ll be sure to keep you well-informed right here on our blog. So while the updated 200 might not be at our Bentonville, AR dealership yet, at least now we know to expect a hit.

Chrysler has a number of production facilities across the country, and the new Chrysler models that show up at our Bentonville dealership are held to the highest of standards during assembly. And thanks to the standard that they have set for themselves, the auto industry has taken notice. Chrysler’s World Class Manufacturing (WCM) Academy, where they train their workers to insure the highest standards are met during the manufacturing process has been recognized by the Manufacturing Leadership Summit who has name the WCM as a High Achiever in the New Workforce segment. The Chrysler Group employs over 45,000 people in its manufacturing facilities, all who have been trained through the WCM process. It’s this dedication to quality that has made the 200, 300 and Town and Country so popular that Chrysler has added over 8,000 new jobs at their U.S. manufacturing plants since June of 2009. the WCM Academy which opened in January of 2012, offers classroom instruction and hands on training to teach employees how to trouble shoot issued that may arise during the production process allowing them to be proactive and correct the situation themselves.
