Singing the Body Electric: An Overview of Jeep’s EV Lineup

With the release of images of the all-new 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe, it appears that Jeep is coming through with its commitment to producing a zero-emission model in every SUV segment by 2025. The 2022 Jeep Cherokee 4xe is joining the ranks among its electric sibling, the 2021 Jeep Wrangler 4xe. The new Jeep Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer will also get the 4xe treatment.

“4xe IS THE NEW 4×4.” Jeep is celebrating its 80th anniversary along with its bold declaration of offering a zero-emission future. Jeep has begun its electrifying expansion with the plug-in hybrid lineup with the following models: Jeep Renegade 4xe, Jeep Compass 4xe, and Jeep Wrangler 4xe. This month, Jeep gave us a peek at the latest addition to the 4xe lineup, the 2022 Grand Cherokee 4xe.

2022 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE 4XE: So far, we know the 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe still offers the rugged, outdoor champion look Jeep buyers love. The electric Cherokee 4xe pairs impressive off-road capability with uptown refinement. It’s expected that the 2022 Grand Cherokee 4xe will offer the available luxury appointments and features that we’ve come to know. The official unveiling is scheduled for the 2021 New York International Auto Show in August.

2021 JEEP COMPASS 4XE AND RENEGADE 4XE: While the 2021 Jeep Wrangler 4xe is being produced and sold in the U.S. and in parts of Europe, the 2021 Jeep Compass 4xe and Renegade 4xe have been produced and sold exclusively in Europe since September 2020. Both the Jeep Compass 4xe and Renegade 4xe are the products of Jeep’s and Stellantis’s compliance with stricter CO2 emission requirements in the European Union. 

JEEP WAGONEER AND GRAND WAGONEER 4XE: With the all-new 2022 Jeep Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer entering the stratospheres of style, comfort, and adventure, 4xe models are on the horizon. And why not?
