The first cool new off-road vehicle has got to be the Jeep Gladiator Mojave. You don’t even have to be a Jeep fan to love this truck. It’s the first-ever Desert Rated Jeep vehicle. Jeeps have always been known for their off-road capabilities, especially the Trail Rated models, but now this is a whole other level. The Jeep Gladiator Mojave has better traction, ride control, stability, maneuverability and ground clearance than other Gladiator trim levels. To help withstand punishment, the Gladiator Mojave has industry-exclusive FOX front hydraulic jounce bumpers. The upgraded FOX 2.5-inch internal bypass shocks with external reservoirs offer impressive performance across uneven terrain. You can also rest easy with the available rugged step sand sliders that help protect the frame and 17-inch wheels wrapped in 33-inch all-terrain tires that provide exceptional performance, off-road and on.

Number two on our list is the Ram 1500 TRX. The Ram TRX is the most powerful production street-legal half-ton pickup ever built. It has 702 horsepower and is capable of going from 0-60 mph in just 4.5 seconds. These numbers are impressive and we’re still on gravel. This truck has eight drive modes allowing the TRX to adapt to any condition whether it’s on or off-road. It has sport and snow modes like other full-size trucks but it also has mud/sand, rock and baja modes.

Jeep Hacks – Volume 1

Jeep owners aren’t your average vehicle owners. They live by rules that only a Jeeper would understand. There’s a camaraderie between one Jeep owner to the next, and it doesn’t matter if they’ve never met. Part of that camaraderie comes from customizing and tricking out your Jeep and knowing how to use it to its fullest. When it comes to the Wrangler, there are tons of small tips and tricks that can be total game changers when you learn about them. We’re talking about Jeep Hacks! We’re starting a blog series all about Jeep Wrangler (and Gladiator) Hacks so you can get the most out of your Jeep. We can’t wait to share them all with you because the Wrangler is one of our favorites here at McLarty Daniel Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Bentonville, Arkansas.
Check out our new and used Jeep Wrangler inventory.
The first Jeep Hack comes from Amazon and it’s a two-pack of front door cup holders. Anyone who owns a Wrangler knows storage space is limited. The doors offer mesh netting to store items but it’s not the best place for a soda can or other drinks. Modern Wranglers come with two middle cup holders, but these front door storage pockets are designed to add some additional storage. Beyond being utilized for more drinks, you can also put your utility flashlight, multi-purpose tool, tire pressure gauge, and more in these additional pockets.
The second Jeep Hack is another Amazon item. This one is the back seat cup holder console. This may seem simple, but again, storage is limited in the wrangler so any extra space you can create for recovery tools or extra beverages will help. It’s super easy to install and it’s a game-changer for you and your passengers. You’re probably sick of hearing your friends complain about the lack of cup holders in your Wrangler as it is.
If you’d like to learn more Jeep Wrangler Hacks, stay tuned to our blog because this is just the beginning! If you can’t wait, contact your friends at McLarty Daniel Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Bentonville, Arkansas. We love tips, tricks and hacks. Anything to help improve your adventures.
Have an Old Car? We’ll Buy It!

When it’s time to upgrade your ride, regardless of the reason, the process can seem a little daunting. We’re here to make it easier! At McLarty Daniel Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Bentonville, Arkansas we are looking to buy your vehicle, even if you don’t buy from us, and we are here to help you answer those questions. The demand for pre-owned vehicles is at an all-time high in Northwest Arkansas, and we’d rather pay a private seller to bring a fresh, local vehicle into our inventory. We end up with a better vehicle to sell than if we had purchased inventory from out-of-state auctions or fleet companies, which is critical as we stand by all of our inventory quality. We have found that well-serviced local vehicles are more likely to pass the rigorous 169-point inspection that’s required. Contact us today and we’d gladly look at what you have to sell.
We understand that it can be hard to part ways with your vehicle. That van got your daughter and her friends to all their away games. You were the hero and they were never late. You pulled up with half the team’s players and the whole team’s snacks. Maybe you drive a truck and it’s what carried your son’s first dear out of the woods. He landed his first kill and you got it out with ease. There was that huge mud pit but you overcame to deliver for that young man. No matter what you drive or what it’s been through it can be painful to start over. Times change though and families grow. Maybe the vehicle you have now was always supposed to be the stepping stone to what’s next. Vans now have entertainment systems and vacuums to entertain the crew on the way to the game and clean the dirt from the floor after the game. Trucks have the ability to raise and lower on command, saving your back when it’s time to load that big buck into the bed of the truck. It’s time to switch and we want that piece of history. You can either trade it in for a new car or we’ll pay you for it outright.
Schedule your 15-minute appraisal appointment today! It’s a win for us, and it’s a win for you. We make the process fast and painless, with a fully transparent market-based evaluation with every purchase inspection. You get top dollar for your vehicle without the hassle of trying to sell it yourself and we get another great used car.

Is a Plug-In Hybrid for Me?

What is a plug-in hybrid?
Plug-in hybrids (PHEV) are vehicles that use two different powertrains. The main power source for a PHEV is a rechargeable lithium battery and the secondary source is an internal combustion engine. PHEVs can run anywhere from 16-60 miles on a single battery charge. When the battery is drained of power, the vehicle will opt for the gasoline-powered engine. A great example of a plug-in hybrid is the Chrysler Pacifica. Keep reading as we at McLarty Daniel Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Bentonville, Arkansas talk about if a PHEV is worth it for you.
Cost
According to the American Automobile Association (AAA), our nation’s current gas price average for regular gas is $3.29. That cost adds up to hundreds, if not thousands, of dollars a year. With a PHEV you could cut that cost in half. PHEVs and hybrids cost more in the beginning, but over time the savings far exceed the overall price of the vehicle. By spending more at first you could save more in the long run.
Environmentally Friendly
Transportation is one of the largest sources of CO2 emissions and air pollution. When these greenhouse gasses are released, they cause a barrier that traps heat in the atmosphere which causes worldwide temperatures to rise. The nitrous oxide produced by gas and diesel-powered cars is a contribution to the depletion of our ozone layer. Our ozone layer is important because it shields the earth from the ultraviolet rays from the sun. Both of these issues are contributing to global warming.
So, is a PHEV for me? This question can be answered with important factors in mind. How important it is to save money and how important is the environment to you? Our choices in these areas not only affect us, but they also affect our families and the future generations of our families.
If you have any more questions, read our blog about hybrid and electric vehicles. Or, drop by McLarty Daniel Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Bentonville, Arkansas because we’d love to explain more. We serve the Bentonville, Rogers, Bella Vista, Eureka Springs, Pea Ridge, Gravette, Centerton, Sulphur Springs and Jane, MO area drivers.
How Winter Weather Affects Tire Pressure

Jack Frost isn’t only nipping at your nose this time of year. When your tires lose air pressure it isn’t because there’s a hole in your tire or a bad valve. It’s due to lower temperatures. Keep reading so we at McLarty Daniel Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Bentonville, Arkansas can break it down for you.
Why does cold weather affect my tire pressure?
Winter weather affects tire pressure because as air temperature drops, air is cooled to its dew point causing the air to condense. This causes your tire pressure to fall. You’ll notice as you continue to drive as the day goes on that your tire pressure will go up. That’s because as the air warms, the dew, or condensation in the tire, evaporates and turns to a vapor. This allows the air in the tires to expand.
How often should I check my tire air pressure?
Tire pressure is generally the lowest in the early morning because that’s the coldest temperature of the day. It can also lower after a vehicle hasn’t been driven for several hours. Over those hours the cold air has a chance to alter your vehicle’s air pressure. If you can check your tire air pressure from your vehicle’s dashboard screen, it is recommended to check your tires every time you get in the car. If you don’t, it’s a good rule of thumb to check them daily, or every other day, in the morning before you leave your house. Better safe than sorry.
How much air should I put in my tires?
To answer this question, check your manufacturer’s recommended tire pressure. Every vehicle manual has this information and it’s usually listed inside the driver’s door as well. If you have purchased new tires since you’ve bought your vehicle, check the tire manufacturer’s recommended tire pressure. Also, tires will usually have the numbers you’re looking for on the sidewall of your tires. Do not exceed the maximum amount of pound-force per square inch (PSI).
If you still have questions, McLarty Daniel Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Bentonville, Arkansas can help! We serve Bentonville, Rogers, Bella Vista, Eureka Springs, Pea Ridge, Gravette, Centerton, Sulphur Springs and Jane, MO Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Ram drivers. We can run our checks and make sure you and your family are good to go and safe to drive this winter season. Check out our tire and alignment coupons if you’re looking to replace the tires you have.
Hybrid & Electric Vehicle Basics
Hybrid and electric vehicles (EV) are bringing our future into the now. Hybrids and EVs now include cars, trucks, transit buses and even some tractor-trailers that are at least partially powered by electricity. Hybrids and EVs offer high fuel efficiency and low exhaust emissions with the power, styles and convenience of our traditional gas and diesel-powered vehicles. Saving our environment is becoming more and more of a need, and the automotive industry is taking a front seat in that movement. Read more so we at McLarty Daniel Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Bentonville, Arkansas can break it down for you.
What is the difference between a hybrid and an electric vehicle?
Hybrids offer a gasoline or diesel engine along with an electric motor that can be charged by regenerative braking or by plugging them in. Electric vehicles operate entirely on electricity and need to be plugged in to charge the battery. One example of an electric vehicle from Jeep is the 2021 Jeep Wrangler 4xe.

Do you need any special equipment?
The answer is no. Whichever hybrid or EV you buy will come equipped with a converter that changes standard AC power from your home outlets into the DC power needed to recharge your vehicle. This process takes a bit longer than a charging station would, but It is easily doable, especially if you charge overnight. If you would like to cut your charging time in half you could install electric vehicle service equipment (EVSE) at your home. EVSE supplies 240 volts of electricity which cuts charging time in half. The 2021 Chrysler Pacifica hybrid is a great example of a hybrid vehicle. It was even recognized as the best hybrid minivan.

Savings
According to the American Automobile Association (AAA), our nation’s current gas price average for regular unleaded gas is $3.29. That cost adds up to hundreds of dollars a year. With a hybrid, you can cut that cost in half and with an EV you can eliminate that bill entirely. Hybrids and EVs cost more on the front end, but over time the savings far exceed the overall price of the vehicle.
What does this mean for our environment?
Electric cars and trucks produce cleaner emissions than gasoline or diesel vehicles. When driving, vehicle exhaust releases carbon monoxide, which threatens human life, and carbon dioxide, which is a significant contribution to global warming.

Winter Car Maintenance Tips

Winter car maintenance is very important and needs to be done every year. If you don’t know what to check as we move into winter, you’ve come to the right place! We at McLarty Daniel Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Bentonville, Arkansas have created a list of tips for you. Our goal is to keep our neighbors safe and we’re happy to provide our community with tips about how to keep safe on uncertain roads.

The first item on your list – and what we think is most important – is to check your tires. Low tire pressure happens during the cold months so it is important to check the air pressure on a regular basis. Tires that are low on pressure can pull one way or the other which could lead to you getting pulled right off the road into a ditch. This is scary and avoidable. Fill your tires up to the cold-weather PSI (pounds per square inch) number and you’ll be in the clear and on the road. Learn more about winter tire care and how to find the correct cold-weather PSI for your tires here on our blog!

Second, let’s chat about battery life. Could you imagine your car dying on a freezing cold night and being stuck? Not fun and again, avoidable. In the initial days of winter, the battery can deliver a reduced output with increased use of lights, heater and blower. Since the battery works harder during cold weather, it could lose power faster. Check your battery before winter officially begins so you won’t be stranded in the cold.

Lastly, check your wiper blades. Winter naturally brings more precipitation – rain, slush and even snow – in addition to less daylight. If your wiper blades are skipping or making loud scraping noises when in use, or aren’t doing their job properly anymore, it’s time to change them.

First, the “Battle Ready” grille insert. What’s more American than adding an American flag behind the Wrangler’s seven-slot grille? Everyone will know just where your Jeep friend stands when they come whipping up flying the flag of freedom!
Next, a roll bar storage bag. The Wrangler is an awesome off-road machine, but the one thing it lacks is storage. The roll bar storage bag is designed with many layers of pockets and compartments and it can be stored both inside and outside the vehicle. It has more than enough storage for daily items or weekend trip items.
Third, a center console storage box. This box straddles the center console where the shifters are and allows room on each side for small items like cell phones, sunglasses, charging cables and more. You can never have enough extra space to ride comfortably in a Wrangler!
Last, and this is a good one, 35-inch Mitch Thompson (M/T) tires. The Wrangler was born to ride off-road but that can get a little tricky with the stock tires that come on the Jeep. With 35-inch Baja Boss tires, your Jeep Wrangler JK friends will have access to a whole new off-road world, and they will love you for it!
